Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 September 2026

These Terms govern your use of shoxastream.com.

Reach us through the contact form.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

Using SHOXA means accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy. SHOXA is not for children under 13 and you may not create an account if you are under 13. Under the age of majority where you live, you may use SHOXA only with a parent or guardian's permission, so far as your local law allows. You must be at least 18 to submit a film.

We do not verify anyone's age. These are requirements we place on you, not checks we perform.

2. Accounts and security

Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity through your account except where the law says otherwise. We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe it necessary because of a breach of these Terms, a security or fraud risk, a legal obligation, or a risk of harm to others or to the service.

3. Two kinds of film, and they are not the same

  • Creator Uploads — films uploaded to SHOXA through a creator's account and hosted by us, including films already published elsewhere. A film with a signed exclusivity commitment carries the SHOXA Exclusive Original badge for the agreed period, and a SHOXA Original badge afterwards for as long as it stays. A non-exclusive upload carries neither badge. "Original" does not mean SHOXA commissioned, financed or owns the film.
  • Curated films — publicly available films played through YouTube's official embedded player. YouTube hosts them; we do not. Each carries the YouTube mark, the original channel name and a link to watch it on YouTube. Their availability, advertising and player behaviour are YouTube's, and they can disappear without notice.

A curated entry does not mean the film's creator submitted it, endorsed SHOXA, or granted SHOXA any licence. Our own synopsis and artwork on those pages are labelled as SHOXA's, and the film's own title and channel are shown as YouTube serves them.

If you hold rights in a curated film, you can ask us to remove its SHOXA page, or claim the page (see section 8).

4. Your films, and the licence you give us

You keep every right you hold. Submitting a film gives us no ownership.

For films you upload, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence — for as long as the film is available through SHOXA plus a short technical wind-down — to host, store, reproduce, transcode, display, stream and distribute it as needed to run the service. You also grant a licence to use the title, synopsis, artwork, stills, thumbnails, trailer, your creator name and reasonable excerpts to promote that film and SHOXA through SHOXA's own channels.

We do not take the right to sell your film to third parties, sublicense it for unrelated purposes, or use it to train AI models. Any of those would need a separate agreement. Automated analysis of your film to generate its description and artwork is described in the Privacy Policy and is not model training.

Remove a film and we stop publishing it. We may keep copies where reasonably needed for backups, security, legal compliance or a live dispute.

5. How this fits with the optional exclusivity agreement

You can remove your film at any time, ending its exclusivity commitment immediately. SHOXA takes no ownership. If you choose SHOXA Exclusive Original for a film not already published elsewhere, you accept a separate agreement, shown in full at submission and recorded with your acceptance, to keep that film exclusive to SHOXA for 30 days from publication. Agreements signed under an earlier version retain their original agreed duration.

The two operate on different things. Section 4 is the licence you give us, and it is non-exclusive: it never stops you using your own film. The exclusivity agreement is a commitment you make about publishing that film elsewhere during its agreed window. It grants us no additional rights in the film.

Order of precedence. For a film published as a SHOXA Exclusive Original, the exclusivity agreement you accepted governs the exclusivity commitment, its duration, and how it ends. These Terms govern everything else. Where the two genuinely conflict on the exclusivity commitment, the exclusivity agreement prevails for that film. Where they conflict on anything else, these Terms prevail. Ending exclusivity — including by removing the film, which ends it immediately — does not end the section 4 licence for as long as the film remains on SHOXA.

6. What you promise about each submission

You confirm you hold all rights and permissions needed to submit the film and grant the licences above — footage, scripts, images, music, sound recordings, trademarks, source material, and any person's name, likeness or voice. Using an AI tool does not by itself give you ownership of its output or permission for what went into it; you are responsible for the terms of the tools you used.

You must not submit unlawful or infringing material, non-consensual intimate imagery, deceptive impersonation of a real person, or realistic synthetic depictions that unlawfully violate someone's rights. Where the law or our published rules require it, disclose material use of synthetic media.

We do not independently verify these claims. We rely on them, and we record your confirmation with its wording, version and timestamp.

7. Things you must not do

Infringe rights; impersonate a person, creator or channel; defraud or mislead; upload malware; harass; post unlawful content; circumvent our security or any player's restrictions; download, scrape or redistribute videos from the service; run bots or bulk accounts; manipulate likes, views or rankings; or claim rights you do not hold.

We may investigate reports and remove or limit content. We do not review everything before it appears and do not promise to.

8. Moderation, complaints and claiming a film

We may review, remove, restrict or decline content or accounts where we reasonably consider it necessary. Report alleged infringement on the Copyright & DMCA page, and other unlawful or harmful material through the report action on any film page.

To handle a complaint we usually have to pass its substance to the affected uploader.

"Claim this film" is reviewed by a person. You send evidence of your connection to the work, and a SHOXA administrator decides whether to transfer control of the page. We check the evidence you give us; we do not have a technical means of proving that you control a YouTube channel, and control is never transferred automatically.

9. SHOXA's own property

The SHOXA name, logo, interface, software and original platform materials belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. We claim no ownership of creators' films or of third-party videos played through an embedded player.

10. Availability and disclaimers

Features change; the service may be interrupted or discontinued; films hosted elsewhere may vanish. To the maximum extent the law allows, SHOXA is provided "as is" and we disclaim the warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed. Nothing here removes rights your local consumer law gives you that we cannot exclude.

11. Liability and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from third-party content or services, including films hosted by others.

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

If you submit films, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your submissions, from a breach of section 6, or from unlawful use of the service, to the extent permitted by law. We will notify you promptly of any such claim, will not settle without your agreement, and will let you take over the defence.

12. Ending, and changes

You can stop using SHOXA at any time and delete your account from Account settings, which tells you what is deleted and what is kept. We may change or discontinue features. Material changes to these Terms take effect after reasonable notice where notice is required; continuing to use SHOXA afterwards indicates acceptance where that is legally valid. We keep previous versions and record which version you accepted.

13. YouTube

Curated films play through YouTube. By using those parts of SHOXA you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
